Repent for the sins of our nation as Daniel did for Israel. These include the murder of innocent babies, sexual perversity, idolatry (money, entertainment, sports, sex, self) etc. [Daniel 9]
Cry out for God’s mercy on America. We are due His judgment, but ask for His mercy. His mercy triumphs over judgment, as was the case with King Ahab and the people of Nineveh when they repented. [Jonah 3; 1 Kings 21:17-29]
Ask the Lord to give the people of America a new heart—a heart that is repentive, and sensitive to His touch and obedient to His Word. [Ezekiel 36:26-32]
Bind the spirit of witchcraft that is blinding the eyes of God’s people and the people of America to the truth about the character of the candidates and the issues. [Matthew 16:19]
Ask the Lord through the work of the Holy Spirit to uncover every lie that has been hidden and reveal the truth for His people and the American people to clearly see. [John 16:8, 13]
Loose the truth to flow through the airwaves of radio, television, the Internet and word of mouth. Ask the Lord to take the very weapon that Satan has sought to destroy the righteous and use it to destroy those who are opposed to Him. [the story of Mordecai and Haman - Esther 5-7]
Ask the Lord to exalt in the eyes of the public every candidate that has a humble heart after Him and is open to His ways. No one is perfect, but God can work through a humble man or woman who is seeking Him and seeking to do what is right. [James 4:10; 1 Peter 5:6]
Ask the Lord to give us godly leaders in every local, state and federal office—including godly judges. [Isaiah 1:26]
Loose a spirit of urgency within God’s people to redeem the time, making the most of every opportunity—especially an urgency to vote His voice for righteous candidates in all positions [Ephesians 5:14-17]
